Repayment for years of service

After almost two decades of serving the country, I decided that it was time for me to relax and spend more time with my spouse. My children had grown up and left the house when my wife and I decided that buying a new smaller house to retire in would be a great idea.

Since we had promised our son our house, we had to find another way to finance our plan. A friend of mine from the service had tried VA Loan before and recommended it to me. I decided that there was no harm in checking out what this loans service had to offer.

In comparison with other loans, VA Loan was easier to approve for veterans, thus I knew that I didn’t have to go through the risks that came with conventional loans. In addition, the loans’ interest rates were really low in comparison with the loan options we had considered before.

After applying, we were even more pleased when we discovered that the Department of Veterans Affairs had initiated a VA refinance program that allowed veterans with a VA Loan to refinance to a lower rate when interest rates decrease. Now, I can relax and reap the benefits of my years of service.
