Mesothelioma is a deadly disease and affects thousands of people in a year. The disease is a rare malady and afflicts only a very small segment of mostly industrial workers. This is the only positive aspect of this disease as otherwise it has no cure and has an extremely poor prognosis. Most people die within a year of infection after going through rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and surgeries.
Mesothelioma Cancer mostly affects the organ lining of lungs but it soon spread to other parts of the body. It first afflicts the organ lining but later penetrates the organs and does not even spare heart. Death is quite painful as body functions come to a stop and internal bleeding and burst organs put an end to patient’s suffering.
Mesothelioma remains untreatable but some people have tried to put up a good fight to this deadly disease. Paul Kraus also had this cancer but this did not deter him from writing a book where he has written about his experiences of fighting this cancer. Patients can read this account to understand this disease. Although there is no hope but they can still go through his writings to feel a sense of camaraderie and that someone else had put up a good fight.
